Well as you can probably tell by now, I'm a brand new mommy.  I have a beautiful and sweet baby boy who I love more than anything.  I never thought I would ever be a mom.  The thought of it sounded frightening and tiring.  But then after 10 years of marriage we got a huge surprise, we're having a baby!  I can honestly say it's been the coolest thing I've ever done.  Yes it's a lot of responsibility and I'm exhausted at times juggling family (hubby, my sweetie pea and two crazy terriers), a full-time job and house work, but I love being a mommy. 

At the time I found out I was having a baby I was probably in the best shape I had ever been.  It was great feeling so healthy and physically strong.  But once the morning sickness kicked in the exercise routine slowed down until it completely stopped.  Then the healthy eating stopped as well and hasn't returned.  So now it's time to get back on course and stop this crazy cycle of eating poorly and being lazy. 

Since I wasn’t motivated whatsoever I came up with this idea of creating a blog.  This was to give me the push and sense of accountability that I really needed.  So here I am sharing with everyone my before pictures, measurements and thoughts.  I still can't believe I'm doing this but I'm excited to see my results and hope that my journey can help to motivate others to take the first step too.

Why TurboFire?

For years I searched for workouts that were fun, challenging and not become annoyed by the instructor.  One day my friend Lyla who is a fitness instructor became a certified TurboKick instructor and raved about how much fun the class was.  So I tried her new class and was hooked.  The music was great, steps were fun and was overall an awesome workout.  I enjoyed TurboKick so much that after a while I decided that I wanted to become a TurboKick instructor too.  But about three weeks before I was to get certified came the big baby surprise.  I still have plans to become an instructor but I would love to get back into shape first.

Last year while doing TurboKick I also followed Chalene Johnson’s (creator of TurboKick) workout program, Chalean Extreme.  I had great results, was always motivated and wasn’t bored while doing the workout.  Well this year Chalene came out with a new workout program, TurboFire.  It has great music and a lot of the moves from TurboKick.  I’m sure I won’t be disappointed!

Chalean Extreme
I love this workout program, helped me get in the best shape ever.  Easy to follow, short workouts and Chalene is very motivating.
